Értelmezzük a vidékiséget, elválasztva az elmaradottság fogalmától, amellyel sajnos gyakran összekeveredik. Bemutatjuk a sikeres és a sikertelen térség kialakulásá­nak gyakori folyamatát. Az ökofolyosók mintájára keressük azokat az információs és innovációs folyosókat és kitörési pontokat, amelyekből az elmaradott vidék is új fejlődési pályára állhat.

Redefining the word ´rural´ means the distinction of rurality from poverty. We invoke the frequently occurring - successful and unfortunate - development process of regional economies. Similar to ecological tunnels the essay identifies information and innovation tunnels as well as break-out points in regional economies that can lead into a more fortunate development orbits.
